Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital is the largest hospital with 535 beds. Founded in 1953 it has a national reputation for cardiovascular research.

Wesley Long Community Hospital Wesley Long Community Hospital has served the medical needs of the region since 1917. Founded by John Wesley Long, MD, a nationally known physician and surgeon, Wesley Long Community Hospital began as a small 20-bed clinic. Today, Wesley Long is a 204-bed modern medical center and home to the Moses Cone Health System Regional Cancer Center. Located in the connecting North Elam Medical Plaza, the Wesley Long MRI serves both inpatient and outpatient imaging needs with the latest open-style MRI equipment, affording patients a more open atmosphere, shorter imaging time and the expertise of board-certified radiologists to read the study results.

Women's Hospital of Greensboro is the only free-standing hospital dedicated to women's services in the area with 134 beds. As the state's first free-standing hospital dedicated to women, The Women's Hospital of Greensboro is a special place for special people - women and infants. Annie Penn Hospital provides specialty services such as a cancer center and sleep center, has 110 beds and is located 20 miles north of the city. For 70 years, Annie Penn Hospital has served the people of Reidsville and the surrounding communities of Rockingham and Caswell counties. Located in the Piedmont Triad, just 20 miles north of Greensboro, Annie Penn Hospital offers a broad range of medical and surgical services that are unique for a community of its size. Advanced diagnostic and treatment procedures as well as access to almost every type of specialized healthcare is available. Specialty care is also provided through the hospital’s Surgery Center, a rheumatology clinic, Cancer Center, Sleep Center and cardiology programs.

The Behavioral Health Center supplies 80 beds—50 for adults and 30 for children—to assist those with mental health issues.
